About this Opportunity

We are seeking a distinguished professor to lead in cutting-edge areas of Software Engineering and/or Cyber Security. This role is an opportunity for collaboration, leadership, and growth within our Cyber Security and Software Engineering discipline.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in key areas including but not limited to: Engineering Trustworthy Software, Binary Code Analysis, Operating Systems Security, AI-assisted Software Testing and DevOps, AI for Cyber Security, and Vulnerability Assessment.

  • Teaching: Develop and deliver engaging courses, contribute to curriculum design, coordinate course delivery, assess student performance, provide academic guidance, and adhere to university teaching policies.

  • Research: Maintain a strong research record as a lead contributor in top-tier international journals and disciplinary publications. Initiate and lead competitive research funding applications as chief investigator.

  • Supervision and Researcher Development: Supervise students, recruit and manage employees, provide performance feedback and training, resolve conflicts, ensure correct remuneration and benefits, and foster a culture of innovation.

  • Citizenship and Service: Foster partnerships, demonstrate leadership through mentoring, engage in internal service roles and committees, perform administrative functions, provide support to colleagues, and uphold university values.
