Job Title: Configuration Management Specialist

This role offers an exceptional opportunity to join a global company with over a century of experience in delivering bespoke engineering services.

The Configuration Management Specialist will develop, implement and manage plans, processes and procedures to ensure that configuration baselines, technical artefacts and datasets are suitably maintained to meet availability, safety, quality, cost, schedule and contract requirements.

  • Develop and manage plans, processes and procedures to maintain configuration databases;
  • Provide technical artefacts and configuration data to support engineering and configuration outputs such as Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs);
  • Participate in design reviews and Configuration Control Boards (CCBs);
  • Ensure that configuration changes are captured and recorded;
  • Identify and action efficiency and improvement opportunities;
  • Conduct and report on Functional Configuration Audits (FCAs) and Physical Configuration Audits (PCAs) as required;
  • Manage configuration, technical artefacts and technical datasets to support engineering outputs;
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure maintenance and accuracy of configuration information, and to provide management and performance reporting;

The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience in configuration management, and technical writing, ideally for military / naval platforms, systems and equipment. They will also have business knowledge and expertise in operating in a commercial environment.
