Job Description

Seeking an experienced Senior Mine Closure Engineer or Geoscientist to join our team.

This position provides technical expertise to support delivery of leading mine closure consulting services through integrated life-of-mine approach.

The successful candidate will apply advanced understanding of environmental and engineering principles to progress and lead delivery of new approaches to solve complex problems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and technical guidance to operations team
  • Collate and assist preparation of technical documentation and proposals
  • Review reports developed by others
  • Develop closure costings and scheduling
  • Project and client management

Requirements

The ideal candidate has:

  • Experience preparing mining project approval applications with solid working knowledge of regulatory frameworks
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and experience with technical report writing
  • Ability to use initiative to resolve tasks or problems
  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or Science
  • Experience in mine closure and remediation either within Oceania or overseas
