Role Description

Clinical Nurse Consultants play a pivotal role in our dynamic team, providing expert clinical advice and support to police managing mental health-related cases in the community.

The Police, Ambulance and Clinical Early Response (PACER) model centres on a dedicated joint police and mental health secondary response activated by police.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical support and strategies to manage consumers' mental health crises in the community in the least restrictive manner.
  • Offer alternative care pathways and work as an integral part of an operational police unit as required.
  • Provide advanced interventions including triage, mental health assessment, and management of complex emergencies and crises.
