Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Leisure and Lifestyle Assistant to join our team at Seabrae Manor Aged Care. The successful applicant will play a vital role in promoting and enabling the physical, intellectual, emotional, cultural, and social wellbeing and independence of our residents.

The Leisure and Lifestyle Assistant is responsible for developing and implementing leisure and lifestyle programs that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents. This includes:

  • Actively participating in the development of the lifestyle program.
  • Ensuring individual resident choice, decision making, and participation when implementing leisure and lifestyle programs for residents.
  • Delivering leisure and lifestyle activities that enhance Physical, Intellectual, Emotional, Cultural, and Social wellbeing of individuals.
  • Contributing to the evaluation of outcomes and effectiveness of a range of Leisure and Lifestyle programs.
  • Monitoring, reviewing, and contributing to quality in care and being an advocate of excellence in resident care and services.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful applicant will possess:

  • Highly developed oral and written communication skills and ability to foster effective relationships with staff, residents, and resident representatives.
  • Computer skills and willingness to learn Aged Care software.
  • A commitment to providing a caring and empathetic service to our residents while respecting their privacy, choices, and cultural preferences.
  • Understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards and legislative requirements.
