The Curriculum Policy and Standards Directorate provides curriculum and assessment policy, as well as literacy, numeracy, English as an Additional Language (EALD) or Dialect, and Aboriginal Languages advice and resources for teachers and leaders. This enables children and young people to learn and thrive, reaching their full potential.

As Assistant Director, Curriculum and Assessment Policy, you will lead the development of evidence-informed curriculum and assessment policy. You will work collaboratively with leaders, educators, and colleagues across the department and agencies to provide high-quality curriculum policy, programs, and standards.

This role requires strong leadership skills, with experience in leading large and complex organizations at an executive level. You will be responsible for translating priorities into executed deliverables, ensuring that curriculum policies align with and activate the Department's strategies and priorities.

  • Leading research into national and international policy and educational developments to advance curriculum and assessment policy
  • Collaborating with leaders, educators, and colleagues to provide high-quality curriculum policy, programs, and standards
