**Job Title:** Clinical Neuropsychologist

Overview

This position involves providing specialized and evidence-based neuropsychological assessments and interventions for consumers with severe and persistent mental illness, potential cognitive and/or behavioral implications, and other complex healthcare needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive neuropsychological assessments to identify strengths and challenges in cognitive function, behavior, and emotional regulation.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to promote recovery, improve functioning, and enhance quality of life.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and support.
  • Evaluate clinical outcomes and contribute to the development of education and training programs to enhance team skills and knowledge.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Fully registered Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia.
  • Completion of an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council accredited postgraduate Clinical Neuropsychology qualification of no less than two years full-time duration or recognized equivalent.
  • Demonstrated expertise in psychological issues related to severe and persistent mental illness, behavioral challenges, and cognitive impairment in inpatient and community settings.
  • Proven ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, exercising high levels of autonomy, self-motivation, and organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as computer literacy.
  • Supervision experience of interns completing post-qualification studies in Clinical Neuropsychology (if applicable).
