Personal Care Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to join our team at mecwacare Ballan Residential Facility and Medical Centre.

About the Role

As a Personal Care Assistant, you will provide high-quality care to our residents, promoting their dignity, comfort, and quality of life. You will work collaboratively with our team to deliver best practice care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, such as meal preparation and medication management.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with residents, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Contribute to a safe and supportive environment, adhering to mecwacare's values and policies.
Requirements
  • Certificate III in Aged Care or Certificate III in Individual Support.
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience in Aged Care.
  • Availability to work AM and PM shifts, weekdays and weekends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to understand and implement resident care plans.
  • Proven time management and multi-tasking skills.
