Job Summary

:

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Bechtel Corporation, you will be responsible for leading the mechanical aspects of projects, including conducting field investigations and client interviews to determine work scope and cost estimates. You will also lead the design, development, modification, and evaluation of mechanical components and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and apply standard mechanical engineering methods, techniques, procedures, and criteria for small-scale projects or assignments.
  • Design, develop, modify, and evaluate mechanical components and processes using relevant Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), design standards, and guides.
  • Prepare or assist in the preparation of conceptual studies, designs, reports, or proposals.
  • Coordinate mechanical engineering efforts with specialty groups, engineering disciplines, clients, vendors, contractors, construction, and other functional groups.
  • Provide guidance to other mechanical engineering personnel for specific tasks or projects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge of systems, calculations, equipment, applications of methods, materials, and computers in the discipline, and of engineering work planning and control methods.
  • Computer skills, including competence in MS Office suite and other common software.
  • Flexibility and enthusiasm for individual and team tasks.
  • Analytical problem-solving capabilities.
  • Demonstrated skills in oral and written communication.
