Media and Drama Specialist

Job Description:

As a Media and Drama Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in driving student performance and educational outcomes. You will be responsible for assisting the school in achieving its strategic plan and state-wide priorities.

  • Collaborate with staff to use data-driven insights to inform teaching approaches that aim to improve student learning outcomes.
  • Ensure content knowledge and pedagogical practice meet the diverse needs of all students.
  • Model exemplary classroom practices and mentor/coach other teachers to engage in critical reflection and professional growth.
  • Provide expert advice on content, processes, and strategies that will shape individual and school professional learning.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Direct teaching of groups and individual students;
  • Contributing to curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation within a school setting;
  • Undertaking various classroom teaching duties as determined by the School Principal;
  • Participating in activities such as parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps, and excursions;
  • Supervising non-teaching duties.
