Aerospace Material Handler Job Opportunity

This role involves performing materials movements within the warehouse environment, leading to and including the distribution of components and materials directly to the production line.

The primary function of this position is to work as part of a team in a fast-paced warehouse environment, supporting cycle counting throughout the warehouse and purchased materials. You will also be required to perform forklift movements, including loading and unloading trucks, movement of goods and components, packing and put away activities, stock replenishment, kitting of trolleys, trailers and boxes, delivery of materials, consumables, paints and sealants, and supporting basic inventory transactions through SAP.

Responsibilities:
  • Forklift operations, including loading and unloading trucks and moving goods and components around the warehouse.
  • Movement of stock, including picking, packing, and putting away products on shelves.
  • Packing and sealing containers for shipping or storage.
  • Stock replenishment, ensuring that inventory levels are maintained at optimal levels.
  • Kitting of trolleys, trailers, and boxes with necessary items for production or other tasks.
  • Distribution of materials, consumables, paints, and sealants to various areas of the warehouse or factory floor.
  • Safety checks and reporting any hazards or near misses to management.
  • Basic data entry and record-keeping using SAP software.
Requirements:
  • Experience working in a warehouse or manufacturing environment, preferably with knowledge of process flows.
  • Holding a valid forklift license, with experience operating counterbalance and high-reach forklifts.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and internal customers.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible attitude towards changing priorities and workloads.
