Job Description

This is an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to community services, providing evidence-based mental health care in a multi-disciplinary clinical setting.

As a Health Clinician Level 3 in our Suicide Prevention Team, you will work with a dynamic and diverse team to provide timely and clinically appropriate responses to individuals experiencing distress.

  • You will have the ability to form supportive therapeutic relationships and provide evidence-based mental health care coordination to a caseload of consumers.
  • Knowledge and experience in the assessment and management of people at risk of suicide are essential for this role.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and negotiation skills are required to utilise computerised information systems and quality written reports.

  • A demonstrated ability to provide evidence-based mental health care coordination.
  • The capacity to possess knowledge and experience in the assessment and management of people at risk of suicide.
  • Effective communication, facilitation, and negotiation skills.

About the Role

The Suicide Prevention Outreach Team (SPOT) at Wyong Hospital provides support to people in suicidal crisis across all phases of the CCLHD Suicide Prevention Pathway. This position will provide timely and clinically appropriate responses to individuals experiencing distress when safe to do so.
