About This Opportunity
- Provide evidence-based mental health care, including coordination of a caseload of consumers in a multi-disciplinary clinical setting, and contribute to the development of supportive therapeutic relationships with individuals at risk of suicide.
- Utilise effective communication, facilitation and negotiation skills to assess and manage individuals requiring timely and clinically appropriate responses, supporting them to remain in their community when safe to do so.
- Access computerised information systems and generate quality written reports, with a current unrestricted NSW Drivers Licence and ability to travel as part of the role.
Where You'll Be Working
The suicide prevention outreach team at Wyong Hospital provides support to individuals across all phases of the CCLHD Suicide Prevention Pathway. This position will provide timely and clinically appropriate responses to support individuals experiencing distress to remain in their community when safe to do so.
This role is embedded in the CCLHD Mental Health Service but maintains a focus on suicide prevention for the wider LHD. It also participates in delivering training and resources to support the adoption of the Suicide Prevention pathway across the service.
