Unlock Your Potential as a Mining Engineer

The Production Mining Engineer is a pivotal role in the planning, execution, and oversight of engineering activities within underground mining operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement drill/blast designs to minimize dilution and maximize gold recovery.
  • Prepare accurate short-term mining schedules to meet production targets.
  • Collaborate with senior mine engineers on planning priorities and schedule optimization.
  • Assist senior mining engineers in assessing productivity rates for longer-term schedules.
  • Coordinate daily mine production activities to achieve production targets.
  • Conduct daily reconciliation and variance analysis against designed outcomes and schedules.
  • Identify and investigate production bottlenecks, implementing solutions to mitigate or eliminate them.

Requirements:

  • Hold a degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated expertise in mine planning, scheduling, and production management.
  • Prior experience in gold mining and narrow vein operations.
  • Proficient use of Datamine, VentSim software or similar tools.
