Job Overview

The position of Residential Care Manager is a pivotal role within our organization. This senior leadership position requires an individual with exceptional management skills, who can lead and empower staff to excel in their roles.

This key leadership position involves operational management of an aged care facility, driving business outcomes through effective cost management and resource allocation. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing continuous improvement initiatives and fostering strong relationships with external stakeholders and the community.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have excellent communication, interpersonal, and networking skills. You must also possess a registered nursing qualification, residential care experience, and a passion for change management and continuous improvement.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management: Lead the operational management of the aged care facility, ensuring seamless delivery of services and achievement of business objectives.
  • Staff Empowerment: Foster a culture of empowerment among staff, providing support, direction, and guidance to help them excel in their roles.
  • Business Performance: Hold full profit and loss responsibility, driving funding, managing costs, and overseeing the roster to achieve financial targets.
  • Audit and Compliance: Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance business performance.
  • Community Engagement: Develop productive relationships with external stakeholders and the community, working together to achieve occupancy targets.
  • Clinical and Customer Service: Ensure the delivery of high-quality clinical and customer service, including managing feedback and complaints.

Requirements:

  • Nursing Qualification: Registered nurse with AHPRA registration.
  • Residential Care Experience: Proven experience in residential care management.
  • Skills and Qualities: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and networking skills; passion for change management and continuous improvement.
