National Supply Chain Director Opportunity

Drive strategic supply chain leadership across end-to-end operations in a fast-paced FMCG environment. Lead cross-functional teams to deliver commercial supply outcomes and scalable systems.

About the Role

This is a hands-on leadership position where you will develop and execute a national supply chain strategy, focusing on import planning, warehousing, distribution, and freight management. You will be responsible for managing decentralised warehouse networks, improving stock accuracy, safety, and delivery-in-full-on-time (DIFOT) performance.

The ideal candidate will have experience in leading complex operational environments, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and uplifting capability within warehouse/DC operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute national supply chain strategy to drive business growth and efficiency
  • Lead and manage decentralised warehouse/DC networks to achieve stock accuracy, safety, and DIFOT targets
  • Improve demand/supply alignment, forecast accuracy, and accountability through S&OP maturity championing
  • Partner with executive team and board to support broader business planning
  • Manage supply chain budgets, working capital, and system optimisation across ERP, Netstock, Phocas, and freight platforms
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across planning, inventory, warehouse SOPs, and cost levers
  • Lead and develop high-performing teams across planning, inventory, and operations
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Proven end-to-end supply chain leadership experience in FMCG, retail, or trade industries
  • Deep expertise in imports, freight forwarding, planning, warehousing, and distribution
  • Strong grasp of warehouse/DC operations and decentralised networks, with experience uplifting capability, especially WMS
  • Confident working at both strategic and operational levels
  • Demonstrated people leadership skills from executive peers to frontline staff
  • Commercial mindset with ability to influence across functions
