Commercial Finance Analyst Job DescriptionJob Overview

The Commercial Finance Analyst plays a vital role in supporting the Commercial Planning & Analysis (CP&A) function to deliver accurate forecasting and budgeting cycles. This position requires an analytical mindset, strong communication skills, and experience with financial modeling and data analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the VP, Commercial Finance, with preparing and updating financial models to support business decision-making.
  • Develop and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to stakeholders across the business.
  • Provide key insights and summary analysis for stakeholders, including developing dashboards and visualizations to present financial metrics clearly.
Accountabilities
  1. Data Preparation and Analysis:
  • Gather, organize, and maintain financial data from various sources.
  • Analyze financial trends and performance, identifying variances against budgets and forecasts.
Reporting:
  • Prepare and deliver timely and accurate financial reports to stakeholders.
  • Assist with the creation of dashboards and visualizations to present financial metrics clearly.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
  • Prepare budgets and forecasts at each cycle, including analysis of past performance and maintaining the rolling forecast.
Requirements
  1. Experience with budgeting and forecasting.
  2. Strong analytical ability and attention to detail.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.
