About the RoleWe are seeking experienced blasting engineers and technical services engineers to join our team, supporting open cut mining customers in Western Australia. This role may involve occasional site visits to assist with technical projects at customer mine locations.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the team in executing blasting-related projects on customer sites using Orica's advanced blasting systems and technologies.
- Provide advanced-level blasting expertise and training on Orica's products to customer teams.
- Form and nurture sustainable relationships with customer technical and operational teams.
- Work alongside customer blasting teams to understand blasting problems and apply the correct blasting advice and assistance to deliver outstanding results.
- Attend blasting training sessions, seminars, and masterclasses with Orica's global Technical Services communities to hone your skills and expertise.
- Degree qualification in Mining Engineering or a related earth sciences discipline.
- Technical experience in drill & blast, preferably in varied sites and environments in open cut mining.
- Experience in using electronic blasting systems.
