Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Low Voltage Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team in Brisbane. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in low voltage switchgear, circuit breakers, and protection testing.

About the Role:

  • You will be responsible for scoping, planning, executing, and testing of low voltage electrical systems across industrial and utility sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Scoping and executing LV ACB (Air Circuit Breaker) upgrades and retrofits.
  • Testing, commissioning, and maintaining LV switchboards, MCCs, and ACBs.
  • Performing CB timing tests, primary injection, and secondary injection protection testing.
  • Modifying and upgrading existing LV systems to meet current standards.
  • Preparing technical documentation and reports.
  • Supporting project delivery teams across multiple sites.

Requirements:

  • Hold a current Queensland Electrical Fitter/Mechanic Licence.
  • Proven experience in LV switchgear, ACBs, MCCs, and protection testing.
  • Familiarity with Omicron test equipment (CMC series, Cibano, CPC100, CTA).
  • Strong understanding of protection principles and LV systems.
  • Excellent fault-finding, analytical, and documentation skills.
  • High regard for safety, quality, and professional communication.
  • Willingness to travel for site work as required.

Desirable:

  • Experience with Schneider, ABB, Terasaki, or Siemens ACBs.
  • HV switching ticket or experience with HV/LV interfaces.
