About the Role

This part-time opportunity offers a competitive hourly rate with the potential for permanent employment, as well as professional development and training opportunities.

  • As a Dental Assistant / Receptionist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting dentists and dental hygienists during dental procedures.
  • Preparing treatment rooms and sterilizing dental instruments.
  • Providing chairside assistance to dentists and hygienists, including passing instruments, taking X-rays, and maintaining patient comfort.
  • Managing patient records and updating electronic medical records.
  • Greeting and checking in patients, scheduling appointments, and answering phone calls.
  • Coordinating and managing patient flow in the reception area.
  • Assisting with billing and insurance claims processing.
  • Providing exceptional customer service and addressing patient inquiries and concerns.

We are looking for an individual with:

  • Previous experience in a dental practice or healthcare setting, although not essential.
  • Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in computer systems and dental software.
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy.
  • Flexibility to work on a casual basis, with the willingness to transition into a permanent role.
