About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Planning Director to join our team at Howatson + Company. As a key member of our strategy team, you will be responsible for driving the strategic vision behind our campaigns, ensuring they are not only creatively impactful but also tightly aligned with client objectives and broader brand strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead the development of creative strategies that inspire and guide our creative output, ensuring they are aligned with client objectives.
  • Craft strategies that build brands capable of impacting culture, driving business success, and creating deep emotional connections with consumers.
  • Partner closely with Creative Directors and other creative leaders to produce unexpected work with great market impact.
  • Encourage and foster innovative thinking within the strategy team, pushing for inventive solutions that elevate the work.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to key clients, helping them navigate brand challenges and opportunities.
  • Stay ahead of cultural trends, consumer behaviors, and industry innovations to inform and enrich strategies.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Years of experience in strategic roles within the advertising industry.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Advertising, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, leadership, and communication skills.
  • The ability to bridge the gap between strategic insight and creative execution.
