We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Designer to join our team at Graymont (Australia) Pty Ltd. As a Mechanical Designer, you will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of Engineering and Capital Projects across our network of Lime and Limestone Plants in the Asia Pacific region.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the development of preliminary general arrangements, 2D and 3D layouts, and process flow diagrams for option analysis and feasibility studies.
- Assist and support the EPC team, Capital Projects Managers, and other cross-functional groups to develop scope of work documents by traveling to site and performing measurements.
- Assist sites with designs and basic drafting (new and updates) for site-related projects where EPC is not involved.
- Support EPC and Operations with developing Class 5-4 cost estimates and documentation support on Capital Projects.
- Assist with the process of migrating historical documents into the engineering document management system.
- Support Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams in reviewing drawings supplied by external consultants.
- Provide project commissioning support and commissioning QC support as required.
- Successful years of engineering experience in a multi-disciplinary approach within an industrial environment, preferably in the lime, cement, mining, or other bulk material industry.
- Formal education with a Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical) is preferred.
- Experience in the use of 3D rendering software such as Revit, Inventor, AutoCAD, Recap, and Navisworks, combined with experience with project cost estimating is highly desirable.
