Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Skilled Jobs Australia.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical components, systems, and products, as well as conducting analysis and simulations to ensure designs meet performance criteria and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop mechanical components, systems, and products using CAD software and technical specifications.
- Conduct analysis and simulations to ensure designs meet performance criteria and safety regulations.
- Develop prototypes and test them to validate design concepts.
- Create detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications using CAD software.
- Document design assumptions, calculations, decisions, and test results for quality compliance purposes and future reference.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations for stakeholders.
- Assist in the establishment of quality control processes to ensure manufactured products meet design specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct or participate in performance tests, durability tests, and failure analysis to identify potential issues and improve product reliability.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to implement improvements in production processes.
- Identify and resolve technical issues or challenges during product development, testing, or production.
- Analyse root causes of mechanical failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Provide technical support to customers, sales teams, or service technicians.
- Participate in design reviews, brainstorming sessions, and lessons learned exercises to continuously improve engineering processes and methodologies.
- Seek feedback from stakeholders and incorporate it into future designs or projects.
- Pursue professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in mechanical engineering.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and 5 years of experience in mechanical design and development, with a strong foundation in CAD software.
A competitive salary range of $80,000 - $100,000 per annum + superannuation will be offered to the successful candidate.
