Senior/Principal Engineer Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior/Principal Engineer to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Australia's energy landscape. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in delivering medium to large-scale, technically complex projects with a pragmatic, outcome-driven approach.

The successful applicant will take the lead in managing large-scale, technically complex projects from inception to commercial operation, build and enhance collaborative relationships with clients by proactively addressing project challenges, and ensure all decisions are grounded in solid data, clearly documented, and made with transparency and pragmatism at their core.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and implementation of power system models and solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects that meet customer requirements and expectations.
  • Provide high-level technical advice and lead decision making across key areas such as performance standards, power system stability, system strength solutions, registration, and project commissioning.
Requirements:
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or other discipline relevant to power systems analysis.
  • Proven leadership in delivering medium to large-scale, technically complex projects with a pragmatic, outcome-driven approach.
  • Strong expertise in power system modelling tools (e.g. PSSE, PSCAD) with the ability to interpret and apply study results effectively.
