Job Opportunity

A Mine Geologist position is available at a leading mining operation in Western Australia.

The successful candidate will become a member of a hardworking, proactive and committed team responsible for coordinating and executing geological activities across the site.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with mine teams to coordinate geology activities, including daily production duties, ore block design, production reporting, and mine-to-mill reconciliation.
  2. Plan and design resource drilling programs, lithological logging, QA/QC analysis, and reporting.
  3. Maintain accurate data processing and geological interpretation of drill data.
  4. Design grade control drill programs to achieve maximum benefit and accuracy.
  5. Contribute to delivering accurate grade control models for grade control and resource development purposes.
About You

This role requires a tertiary-qualified Mine Geologist with previous experience in Open Pit Mining. Essential skills include:

  • A Current & Valid Manual C class driver's licence
  • A sound understanding of geostatistical and geological principles
  • Experience with RC drilling supervision
  • Previous exposure to Vulcan and Acquire Systems (Advantageous)
  • Ability to work across both production and development geology
  • Effective communication skills to relay technical information to non-technical team members
