We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented professional to manage the acquisition and disposal of Council's fleet, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and procurement policies.

The Role

As a Fleet Procurement Officer, you will provide support to the procurement team in managing the Council's fleet acquisition and disposal program for all vehicles, plant, and equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Manage procurement activities and projects related to fleet acquisition and disposal, including specification preparation, quotation, and tendering.
  • Undertake investigative research and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Maintain the Risk Assessment Register for Council's fleet and ensure ongoing compliance with WHS standards.
  • Responsible for the engagement of external hires for wet and dry plant and equipment, ensuring best value and compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Undertake other administrative duties that support fleet operations.
You will have
  • Certificate IV Local Government Procurement and Contracting or equivalent experience.
  • C Class Driver's Licence.
  • Experience and knowledge of procurement systems and processes.
  • Ability to work with diverse stakeholders and promote continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management and monitoring budgets.
  • Strong skills in use of Microsoft Office, SAP, and Ausfleet Fleet Management software.
