Fleet Operations Manager

As a critical member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing our national portfolio of over 1,000 assets comprising light and heavy vehicles, Material Handling Equipment (MHE), and HDE Fleet. This role is instrumental in executing our asset lifecycle strategy from acquisition to disposal, while embedding best practices, driving sustainability, and ensuring compliance across a complex, multi-site network.

This position requires strong partnership with internal teams and suppliers to deliver safe, efficient, and future-ready solutions that support our operational excellence. You will drive the development and execution of our MHE and Tool of Trade fleet strategy, lead the full lifecycle management of our fleet from acquisition to end-of-life, and act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for fleet, MHE, and battery/fuel requirements across sites.

  • Develop and execute our MHE and Tool of Trade fleet strategy to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Lead the full lifecycle management of our fleet, including acquisition, maintenance, and disposal.
  • Act as an SME for fleet, MHE, and battery/fuel requirements across sites to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams and suppliers to facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Develop and implement standards, policies, and training for national deployment to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Integrate telematics and asset tools to enhance visibility and analytics, enabling data-driven decision making.
  • Champion sustainability, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives to drive business success.
