Job Overview

The Data Architect role plays a pivotal part in a major transformation initiative aimed at establishing a unified government ICT capability to facilitate the ACT Government's operations.

  • Develop and document data models, information architecture, report & dashboard architecture, and patterns to ensure seamless data management.
  • Collaborate closely with the development team to design ETL processes that guarantee data quality and integrity.
  • Review and document business processes, data sources, and definitions to foster a comprehensive understanding of the organization's needs.
  • Assess and develop requirements specifications documents to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Maintain and update data dictionary, data taxonomy, and other related artefacts to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to develop reporting and dashboards specification documents that meet business needs.
  • Partner with the development team to ensure reporting and dashboards solutions are designed to address business requirements effectively.
  • Engage with vendors during the program to leverage their expertise and optimize outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
