As a vital member of our cemetery maintenance team, this role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the upkeep and enhancement of our beautiful grounds.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform a variety of grounds and landscape maintenance tasks, including mowing, edge-trimming, leaf-blowing, weeding, planting, spraying, pruning, and removing old/fallen trees. This will involve working independently as well as collaboratively with other team members to ensure high-quality results.
  • Carry out general manual labouring tasks as required, such as lifting, carrying, and moving heavy equipment or materials.
  • Litter patrols and monitoring tidiness of waste collection points to maintain a clean and safe environment for visitors.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be physically fit, enthusiastic, mature-minded, confident, well-presented, and able to demonstrate a high level of work-ethic and initiative. A current full driver's license is essential for this position, as you will be required to operate a vehicle safely and responsibly. Having handy-person or building maintenance skills and/or experience with mowers and general gardening and landscaping equipment and tools would be advantageous.

The successful candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, allowing them to interact effectively with cemetery patrons in a respectful and courteous manner.
