Effective Educator Wanted for English/English Classroom Position

As an English/English Classroom Teacher, you will be responsible for planning, preparing and delivering programs to achieve specific student outcomes. You will engage in critical reflection and inquiry to improve your knowledge and skills to effectively engage students and enhance their learning.
Main Responsibilities:- Direct teaching of groups of students and individual students;
- Contributing to the development, implementation and evaluation of a curriculum area or other curriculum program within the school;
- Undertaking other classroom teaching related and organisational duties as determined by the School Principal;
- Participating in activities such as parent/teacher meetings; staff meetings; camps and excursions;
- Undertaking other non-teaching supervisory duties.
- A strong understanding of the relevant curriculum, including the ability to incorporate the teaching of literacy and numeracy skills;
- Demonstrated experience in responding to student learning needs;
- Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills;
- Demonstrated behaviours and attitudes consistent with Department values;
- Provisional or full registration from the Victorian Institute of Teaching;
- Possession of a bachelor's degree in education or a related field;
- Demonstrated experience in mentoring/coaching other teachers;
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students to achieve common goals;
- Capacity to reflect on practice and engage in professional learning to continually improve teaching quality.
