Job Description:

You are applying for the role of Employment Consultant to work closely with individuals with disabilities and connect them to sustainable employment opportunities. As a key member of our team, you will provide guidance, support, and motivation to participants on their journey to employment.

This position is located in Geelong and Grovedale areas, where you will develop strong relationships with local employers to create meaningful employment opportunities for participants.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Utilizing a person-centered approach to tailor services and support participants into employment
  • Developing partnerships with local employers to create employment opportunities
  • Enhancing employability through referrals to support services and training
  • Providing in-employment support to sustain employment
  • Marketing participants' skills to prospective employers
  • Achieving program performance and quality benchmarks
  • Keeping detailed records and adhering to compliance requirements
  • Participating in community activities to promote services
Required Skills & Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • A passion for helping others and a positive attitude towards supporting individuals with disabilities
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to build positive relationships with participants and employers
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow guidelines
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to think outside the square
  • Technical skills and confidence in using computers and online systems
