About The Role:
As a skilled Automation and Systems Electrical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our automation systems that ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. You will collaborate closely with production, maintenance, and process improvement teams to drive automation advancements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for industrial control systems including PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, sensors, drives, and advanced instrumentation.
- Troubleshoot breakdowns, investigate root causes, and implement system upgrades to enhance reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize control and tracking systems, ensuring seamless production tracking.
- Assist in implementing machine learning, vision systems, and other digital transformation initiatives to drive innovation.
- Support system upgrades, ensuring all changes are well-documented and aligned with business standards.
- Contribute to the development of maintenance strategies and manage critical spares and system documentation.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Technical Expertise: A degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, or Automation Engineering (or a related field) is required. Experience working with industrial control systems, PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and advanced instrumentation is essential. Strong knowledge of legislative safety requirements and ability to communicate effectively are also required.
Personal Qualities:
Strong problem-solving skills, ability to adapt to change, and manage competing priorities are necessary. Familiarity with MES systems, process automation, or data-driven technologies is desirable. Passion for continuous improvement and digital innovation is a must. Strong communication skills and ability to work across multi-disciplinary teams are required.
