Senior Exercise Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Exercise Physiologist to join our Rehabilitation Ward team at Port Macquarie Private Hospital.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for assessing patients, prescribing exercises, and supervising patient exercise programs. This role requires working across Day Programs and delivering therapy in individualised, group, and hydrotherapy settings, both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to develop tailored exercise programs.
- Prescribe and progress exercises to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Supervise patient exercise programs to maintain high-quality care standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver holistic patient care.
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- A degree in Exercise Physiology or equivalent qualification.
- Current accreditation with ESSA (Exercise and Sports Science Australia).
- Minimum 2 years' experience as an Exercise Physiologist (desired).
- Current NDIS Worker Check.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Commitment to professional development and maintenance of current evidence-based practice.
- Understanding of quality improvement principles.
