Overview

We are seeking Exercise Physiologists to join our Rehabilitation Ward at Port Macquarie Private Hospital. As an Exercise Physiologist, you will be responsible for the assessment of patients, prescription of exercises and supervising patient exercise programs. You will be working across our Day Programs and deliver therapy in individualised, group and hydrotherapy settings and work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team. Reporting to the Allied Health Manager, you will perform duties with the support and guidance of the Department Manager, Team and Shift Leaders to ensure a high level of quality patient care in line with the care values and strategic direction of the Hospital and Ramsay Health Care.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patients and develop exercise prescriptions
  • Supervise patient exercise programs
  • Deliver therapy across Day Programs in individual, group and hydrotherapy settings
  • Work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
  • Support the care team to maintain high quality patient care aligned with hospital values
Skills and Experience
  • Degree in Exercise Physiology (or equivalent)
  • Current Accreditation with ESSA
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as an Exercise Physiologist (desirable)
  • Current NDIS Workers Check
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • High standard of customer service and a team approach
  • Commitment to professional development and evidence-based practice
  • Understanding of quality improvement principles
  • Flexible, positive approach to work
  • Experience in a hospital or rehabilitation setting (desirable)
Remuneration

On offer is hourly base salary ranging from $38.26 - $55.42 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.

Requirements
  • Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
  • Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases
  • Completion of the NDIS "Quality, Safety & You" e-learning module
  • Must hold a valid NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (NDISWC)
