Warehouse Operations Manager

About the Role:
- Build strong relationships with customers, ensuring excellent service and quality standards.
- Oversee daily operations across all areas to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
- Collaborate with the Warehouse Manager to coordinate product supplier partnerships and freight services.
- Analyze opportunities for improvement, propose solutions, and implement changes to enhance operational efficiency.
- Work closely with the Warehouse Manager and Office staff to optimize warehouse operations.
- Maintain accurate KPI tracking and reporting.
- Develop and implement employee coaching programs to support staff growth and development.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Compiling, evaluating, and monitoring critical warehouse performance metrics.
- Reviewing daily performance against targets and providing insightful comments on variances.
- Achieving on-time delivery rates as per established KPIs.
- Completing regular OHS, Forklift, and Racking checks.
- Strategically allocating tasks to maximize staff productivity.
- Addressing performance issues with team members.
- Demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Assisting in new staff recruitment and training processes.
- Participating in annual performance reviews for the Warehouse team.
- Training staff in computerized systems and technologies.
- Utilizing data-driven insights to inform operational decisions.
Requirements:
- Qualifications in Warehouse Operations, Logistics, or Management, or equivalent experience.
- Valid forklift license and extensive Reach driving experience within FMCG storage and distribution.
- Diverse retail and warehouse operations experience, including freight systems and supporting technologies.
- Strong commitment to OH&S and Quality Standards.
- Excellent communication skills and self-motivation.
- Proven leadership abilities and people management skills.
- Track record of successfully managing technology-based warehouse operations.
- Ability to create and analyze KPI-based reports.
