About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Finance Manager to lead our Wholesale Electricity and Financial Instruments team at AGL. As a key member of our finance leadership team, you will partner with Trading, Origination, and Portfolio leaders to provide critical financial insight, manage budgets, and drive performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a talented team of finance professionals, promoting a culture of excellence and development.
- Provide business partnering to senior leadership, offering insights to influence strategic decisions.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and month-end processes, ensuring accurate reporting and performance tracking.
- Drive continuous improvement across finance processes, systems, and valuation models.
- Support commercial project evaluations and deliver actionable financial analysis.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, external reporting, and audits.
About You
We are looking for a dynamic leader with a passion for driving financial success in the energy sector. You will bring:
- Proven expertise in managing month-end close processes, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and MS Office tools, including understanding of financial modelling.
- Skilled in analysing complex data, with a strong ability to connect business drivers to financial outcomes.
- A proactive collaborator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and continuously seeks continuous improvements.
- Experience and exposure to electricity portfolio and financial instruments will be highly regarded.
