Job Title: Mechanical Technician

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our team in Coburg, Victoria. As a key member of our production staff, you will be responsible for the effective utilisation and co-ordination of machinery under your control.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operating machinery.
  • Quality checks and adjustments.
  • Fixing machine breakdowns.
  • Responsible for change overs.
  • Forklift duties as required to meet production requirements.
  • Responsible for removing tooling, auditing and completing machine tooling cleans.
  • Identify potential process improvements, and ad hoc production issues. Work with Production Manager and Process Improvement Manager to find solutions and implement corrective actions.
  • Responsible for keeping the plant clean and tidy, equipment maintained and preventative measures used to ensure continual availability of equipment.
Requirements:
  • Trade Cert as a Fitter/Turner, Toolmaker, or similar
  • Must have completed a 4 year Apprenticeship
  • LF Forklift license & experience would be advantageous
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Sound mechanical aptitude and a high trouble shooting ability.
