We are seeking a qualified Health and Wellness Advisor to fill a permanent position.
The key responsibilities of this role include conducting thorough assessments of candidates with diverse disabilities and barriers to employment, providing counseling interventions as needed, referring candidates to additional support services, and evaluating progress in cases.
Main duties involve:
- Conducting assessments and identifying goals and aspirations;
- Developing skills and job-readiness through various therapeutic interventions and facilitating groups;
- Providing recommendations to relevant vocational and non-vocational services;
- Liaising with medical professionals and community agencies on behalf of clients;
- Offering training and guidance to staff on psychological services and procedures.
Required qualifications and skills include:
- A relevant Tertiary Qualification in Psychology or Counselling, with eligibility for registration with the relevant authority;
- Experience working within employment services is highly regarded but not essential;
- Knowledge of psychology assessment/intervention strategies;
- Exceptional communication and engagement skills;
- A proven ability to construct accurate and articulate case reports;
- An ability to work towards generating positive outcomes for clients.
