Specialist Hearing Care Professional

We are seeking an exceptional Specialist Hearing Care Professional to join our team. In a life without sound, we offer meaningful work that makes a difference.

Job Role and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients' hearing loss using a range of techniques, including audiometric tests.
  • Report results and provide referrals to medical practitioners in writing.
  • Offer personalized solutions for those with hearing impairments, including amplification, implantable devices, and assistive listening devices.
  • Deliver aural rehabilitation programs and provide counseling, advice, and information to clients and families.
  • Support the development and management of noise control and hearing conservation strategies.
  • Provide treatment and management for age-related, disability-related, or injury/disease-related hearing and communication disorders.
Requirements for Success:
  • University-level Audiology qualification or TAFE Audiometry qualification.
  • Current membership (CCP) or eligibility for membership (CCP) of AudA or ACAud.
  • Current QP number.
  • Excellent audiological skills and knowledge.
  • Exceptional customer care and service skills, with a passion for delivering an outstanding client experience.
  • Ability to learn new software with training.
  • Proven ability to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Well-developed interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Strong team working skills.
  • Ability to network with General Practitioners and other allied health professionals.
