Role OverviewAs an Employment Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in empowering supported employees to thrive in various work environments. Your primary responsibility will be to provide guidance, instruction, and hands-on assistance to ensure quality and productivity. You will work closely with Business Supervisors to create a great client experience and help Supported Employees achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct practical instruction and assistance to supported employees to support them in meeting workplace targets.
- Monitor team performance, cohesion, and relationships and report to supervisor as required.
- Support team supervisors in work appraisals.
- Assist team supervisors in monitoring crew performance.
- Monitor the quality of individual employees and teamwork according to customer expectations.
- Liaise with customers to clarify expectations.
- A Certificate 3 qualification in Community Services or a related discipline, or equivalent experience in a similar role.
- Current Driver's Licence.
- Senior first aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Current DHS NDIS Worker Screening Check (essential).
- Working with people with disabilities (desirable).
- Experience in work crew, trade, or manual labor settings (desirable).
- Problem-solving skills in a hands-on workplace.
- Interest in supporting people to build skills.
- Ability to work in isolated settings with limited supervision.
