About the Role

WISE Employment is seeking a highly motivated and empathetic Employment Specialist to join our team. As an Employment Specialist, you will play a vital role in assisting individuals with disabilities, illnesses, injuries, or employment barriers to achieve their employment goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop Strong Relationships: Build rapport with participants to understand their needs, interests, skills, and experience.
  • Resume and Job Application Support: Assist participants with resume development, job applications, and interview preparation.
  • Barrier Identification and Solutions: Identify and assess barriers to employment and create solutions to support participants in the workplace and beyond.
  • Job Planning and Placement: Collaborate with participants to create job plans that support clear pathways into sustainable employment.
  • Employability Support: Increase participants' employability through training and other support services.
  • Employer Engagement: Source employment opportunities through networking and sales strategies, and build relationships with potential employers and community organizations.
Requirements
  • Australian Working Rights: Must have full Australian working rights.
  • Driver's License: Holding a full Australian driver's license is preferred but not essential.
  • Criminal History Check: Willingness to obtain a National Police Check and pass a Working with Children Check.
