Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Land Services Officer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality services to farmers, community groups and the broader community.

About the Role
  • This role will involve providing natural resource management, agricultural sustainability and productivity advice and extension services.
  • You will also be responsible for delivering best practice invasive pest management, supporting native vegetation management including land management regulations, and assisting with emergency response and recovery services.
  • The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a strong understanding of agriculture in the North Coast region.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Deliver front line services to farmers, community groups and the broader community to support healthy, sustainable and productive landscapes.
  2. Provide natural resource management, agricultural sustainability and productivity advice and extension services.
  3. Develop partnerships with stakeholders, collaborate on projects, conduct field work, and monitor, evaluate and report on outcomes.
  4. Assist with emergency response and recovery services, and support native vegetation management.
Requirements
  • Enthusiastic, motivated and keen to learn new skills.
  • Ability to engage with rural landholders, industry groups and other stakeholders.
  • Flexible, adaptable and able to work across agriculture, environment, invasive pests, biosecurity and emergency management.
  • Strong understanding of agriculture in the North Coast region with knowledge of natural resource management and biosecurity.
