Aged Care Nursing Specialist

This is a temporary full-time Clinical Nurse Consultant role that requires an experienced Aged Care Registered Nurse to provide clinical expertise and leadership.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will coordinate comprehensive hospital avoidance strategies to deliver optimal care for people aged 70 and over within Residential Aged Care Facilities (RACFs) and the community.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert advice, leadership and recommendations on all aspects of nursing and consult on matters relating to the safe and appropriate use of nursing practices.
- Formulate and implement policies to guide practice development, engage in education and research activities and provide clinical supervision to nursing staff.
- Act as a role model, providing high-quality nursing care on a regular basis and promoting excellence in nursing practice.
- Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency. Minimum five years full-time post-graduate experience with three years full-time equivalent in the specialty field.
- Demonstrated clinical leadership skills, ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary framework and commitment to excellence in nursing practice.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills across various mediums and understanding of the practice development framework.
