**Job Overview**
This exciting opportunity is for a skilled professional to join a national team responsible for managing and triaging a pipeline of Participant-driven Plan reviews.
The ideal candidate will possess a high level of knowledge of relevant statutory, regulatory and policy frameworks within the disability sector.
They will also have excellent analytical skills, ability to work in a team dealing with complex information, and experience assessing complex information within legal and operating process guidelines to make fair and auditable decisions.
The successful applicant will be able to communicate outcomes both written and verbally, and document cases in a CRM or similar system.
This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Working closely with prospective participants and participants to understand the nature and context of their request for a decision to be reviewed.
- Making evidence-based review decisions in line with NDIS frameworks, as prescribed in the NDIS Act, NDIS rules, Operational Guidelines and NDIA policies.
- Communicating effectively with participants and their representatives to explain reasons for decisions, the review and appeals process and available options.
- Monitoring and managing caseloads and ensuring internal reviews are completed within a timely manner.
- Collaborating with team members to share and develop specialized knowledge in areas of expertise.
**Requirements:**
- A high level of knowledge of relevant statutory, regulatory and policy frameworks within the disability sector.
- An ability to develop plans and objectives for short term tasks and contributing to strategic planning for longer-term initiatives.
- Experience supporting and working with people with disability and / or carers and family - Aged Care.
- Ability to manage a high-volume caseload.
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work in a team dealing with complex information.
- Experience assessing complex information within legal and operating process guidelines to make fair and auditable decisions (review decisions assessable but the Administrative Appeals Tribunal).
- Ability to communicate outcomes both written and verbally.
- Strong ability to document cases in a CRM or similar system and experience with MS Office suite.
