About the Position

We are seeking a dedicated teacher to join our team at Lyndale Secondary College. As a teacher, you will play a vital role in inspiring learners of today to be their best in readiness for the world of tomorrow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement engaging curricula that cater to diverse student needs.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents to support student learning and well-being.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, using data to inform teaching practice and provide feedback on student growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create innovative learning environments, including team-teaching, cross-curricular approaches, community projects, and peer observation.

Selection Criteria:

  • SC1: Demonstrated knowledge of relevant curriculum areas, including literacy and numeracy skills, and responding to student learning needs.
  • SC2: Experience in planning and implementing high-impact teaching strategies guided by how students learn, evaluating the impact on student learning growth.
  • SC3: Monitoring and assessing student learning, using data to inform teaching practice, and providing feedback on student learning growth.
  • SC4: Interpersonal and communication skills, establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships to support student learning.
  • SC5: Behaviours and attitudes consistent with Department values.

The successful applicant will be working in a large Years 7-12 educational provider with a diverse student population. The school offers a comprehensive curriculum, SEAL, VCE, VCE VM, VPC, and VET programs, as well as an English Language Centre supporting refugee and international students.
