Key Role Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs, ensuring that each student's educational goals are being met.
  • Provide differentiated instruction and accommodations to students with a range of learning disabilities and developmental delays.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress regularly, adjusting teaching strategies as needed to ensure academic success.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, counsellors, and other specialists to create and implement effective support strategies.
  • Participate in professional development activities and stay current on best practices in special education, including laws and regulations

Qualifications, Experience and Requirements:

  • At least 1 full year of post-qualified classroom based teaching experience working with students of variable special requirements
  • Eligibility for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT)
  • Education transcripts can be provided when required
  • Be able to provide contact details for two education-based referee's from the last 2 years (student teacher mentors are acceptable)
