Job Overview

We are seeking experienced Paralegals to support the management and resolution of participant-related reviews in the AAT.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with legal qualifications or advanced tertiary qualifications in law or a related discipline to join our team.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality legal advice, support and services to internal clients.
  • Prepare tribunal documents and lodge them with the AAT.
  • Draft legal documents such as briefs to counsel and expert witnesses, Statements of Issues and other legal documents.
  • Ensure effective communication with team members and internal stakeholders.
  • Risk Management:
  • Audit and respond to risks from processes, including privacy considerations and priorities.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Advanced tertiary qualifications in law or a related discipline.
  • Proven ability to provide high-quality legal advice and support.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

About this Role:

  • This is an initial 12-month contract with the possibility of extension.
  • The successful applicant will be seconded to a federal government agency.
