Marsh is seeking a skilled Claims Consultant to join our NSW Public Sector claims team based in the Sydney CBD office.
This role is integral to the delivery of claims management services to Statewide Mutual Scheme Members. You will handle a portfolio of general insurance claims for Local Government clients, with a focus on liability claims.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a mixed portfolio of primarily Public Liability, Professional Indemnity, Property, Councilors and Officers claims
- Accurately reserve, investigate, and manage claims costs, negotiate with third parties
- Build and maintain rapport with clients through claims and educational presentations
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including brokers, underwriters, and reinsurers
- A leading training and development program

- Excellent client communication and influencing skills
- Experience in Public Liability and Casualty claims
- Ability to prioritize and organize

- Extensive knowledge and 3-5 years' experience in Public Liability and Casualty claims
- Tertiary qualifications in Law or Business/Commerce
- Knowledge of the Civil Liability Act and common law principles
