Reliability Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Reliability Engineer to join our Engines business unit at Blue Origin. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and safety of our engines and propulsion systems.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and analyze factors that impact engine reliability and develop strategies to improve production, test, and flight reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement reliability solutions, including fault tolerance and redundancy.
- Develop and maintain reliability models and analyses to inform design and testing decisions.
- Support the development of reliability requirements and specifications for engine components and systems.
- Perform reliability testing and analysis to validate design and manufacturing processes.
- BS in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, materials engineering, computer science, physics, or related technical discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in system development, integration, or testing of aerospace products or complex electromechanical systems.
- 2+ years of RAMS experience in liquid rocket engines or avionics for space applications, or 4+ years of system safety, reliability, or RAMS engineering experience in any industry.
- Experience with reliability engineering for electrical components and circuit card assemblies.
- Knowledge of systems engineering practices throughout the product lifecycle.
- Experience in design, development, integration, or testing – preferably with aerospace hardware or sophisticated technical systems.
- PCBA manufacturing and/or avionics design experience.
- Experience performing worst-case-analysis (WCA), sneak circuit analysis, Fault-detection, Fault-Isolation and Recovery (FDIR) assessments.
- Proven technical expertise with liquid rocket engines and test facilities.
- Experience integrating sophisticated subsystems into a spacecraft, launch vehicle, or test facility.
