In this pivotal role at Shift, you'll play a key part in shaping the future of our lending strategy. As a Senior Credit Restructuring Expert, you'll engage directly with borrowers, leveraging your expertise to craft tailored solutions and restructure distressed loans.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify Opportunities for Restructuring: Utilize pre-agreed criteria to pinpoint potential candidates for restructuring, ensuring timely intervention and optimal outcomes.
  • Analyse and Assess: Collaborate with borrowers to evaluate their unique situations, assessing borrower outlook and opportunities for improving Probability of Default (PD) and Loss Given Default (LGD).
  • Develop and Recommend Strategies: Provide expert guidance on credit approval, tailoring recommendations to meet the needs of both parties.
  • Negotiate Exposure Restructuring: Skilled negotiation is essential in this role, as you work to secure favourable commercial terms and agreements.
  • Document Commercial Agreements: Ensure seamless execution by documenting revised agreements, fostering transparency and understanding.
  • Monitor Portfolio Segments: Continuously track Watchlist and Restructured Loans, identifying areas for improvement and informing strategic decisions.
  • Reporting: Deliver accurate and insightful reporting, enabling data-driven decision-making within the organisation.
What You'll Bring:

We're seeking an individual with a strong foundation in accounting principles, coupled with expertise in assessing financial performance and borrower risk.

  • Expertise in Credit Analysis: Proven ability to gather information through direct borrower interaction, evaluating financial health and identifying opportunities for growth.
  • Skilled Negotiator: Proficient in negotiating favourable commercial terms, restructuring agreements, and securing mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Excellent Communication: Ability to convey complex information clearly, both verbally and in writing, facilitating effective collaboration and decision-making.
  • Experience in Lending/Workout/Insolvency: Minimum 5-10 years of experience in credit/lending/workout/insolvency roles, with a proven track record in credit analysis, customer engagement, and documentation.
